Peter Forbes was educated at the University of London and was called to the Bar in 1990. He has a general common law practice. In criminal work, he both defends and prosecutes and has experience in a wide range of cases encompassing crimes of violence (including murder), drugs importation, duty evasion and offences of dishonesty, including substantial fraud. A significant proportion of his practice comprises family work, covering all aspects of the Children Act and adoption; in addition to private law cases he undertakes public law work on behalf of parents, local authorities and children’s guardians. His civil litigation practice is predominantly personal injury work, mainly for defendants, but also includes general contractual disputes and landlord & tenant cases.
He is a member of the Criminal Bar Association, the Family Law Bar Association and the Kent Bar Mess.
