Profile
Tanya Robinson was educated at Southampton University and Rouen University (1992 -
1996). She obtained an LL.B (European Legal Studies) Honours degree, spending one year
abroad studying French and European Law. She is fluent in French. She studied the Bar
Vocational Course at the Inns of Court School of Law, London and was called to the Bar in
1997. She was an Inner Temple Scholar in 1997.
Her practice includes all areas of general common law including personal injury, medical negligence and criminal law. In crime, she defends and prosecutes in cases involving cruelty, serious violence, drugs, sexual abuse towards children and in all types of sexual offences. She has experience of contested proceedings in the European Human Rights Court dealing with various issues including Article 8 violations (respect for privacy). In addition to her general criminal practice, she also advises and prosecutes on behalf of local authorities and other regulatory bodies. She is a member of the approved panel of the Attorney General’s prosecuting counsel. She is a member of the Criminal Bar Association and the Personal Injuries Bar Association, the Kent Bar Mess and the South Eastern Circuit. |
