Caroline Topping is a scholar and graduate of Robinson College, Cambridge, and was called to the Bar in 1984. She is a family law specialist having practised exclusively in the field of family law for many years. Work undertaken includes, within divorce, both ancillary relief and Children Act applications. In public law Children Act proceedings and adoption she has acted in cases involving every aspect of these complex subjects representing local authorities, parents, guardians and children.

She is a member of the Family Law Bar Association.
