Profile

Emmaline Lambert graduated with a degree in Law and French Law from the LSE and spent one year studying in Strasbourg. Before being called to the Bar in 2003, she spent seven years working for a US Investment Bank having joined on the graduate scheme.

Emmaline joined 6 Pump Court in October 2006 having successfully completed her pupillage. Her practice includes planning and environmental law, general civil law and criminal law for both defence and prosecution.

Planning

Planning represents a significant part of Emmaline’s practice.  She appears at numerous planning inquiries, representing both residents and local authorities.

Her experience includes:

  • Successful opposition to residential development in the Hampstead Conservation Area adjacent to Grade I Listed Terraces
  • Successful opposition of residential development in the Vauxhall Conservation Area
  • Successful opposition of a mixed residential/business conversion in the Clapham Conservation Area
  • Successfully represented a local authority at public inquiry regarding refusal of permission for 116 dwellings in the Metropolitan Green Belt
  • Represented the local residents in the Dilly Lane Inquiry for 170 dwellings
  • Prosecuting breaches of enforcement notices and breaches of conditions in the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court and also in the use of injunctions

Regulatory Crime

Emmaline Lambert regularly appears in both Magistrates’ Courts and Crown Courts representing both local authorities and defendants in matters relating to breaches of planning control, environmental law, food safety and benefit fraud.
