David Travers QC to speak at forthcoming Food Law in Practice Conference

March 7, 2016

David Travers QC will speak at The Institute for Food Safety Integrity & Protection (TiFSiP) Food Law in Practice Conference later this month. The new Guidelines for health and safety, corporate manslaughter and food safety and hygiene offences came into force on the 1st February 2016. This unique event will provide authoritative guidance on the regulatory changes relating to food law, and insight into how to deliver controls consistently, effectively and efficiently. The Guidelines will have significant implications for food businesses and enforcement officers. The first session at TiFSiP’s conference begins with Mr Justice Holroyde (a High Court Judge and member of the Sentencing Council) and then David Travers QC will provide guidance on how to make or defend a food law case before a panel discussion.

The second session is about expert evidence and the third addresses voluntary warnings. The day brings together some of the UK’s leading food law experts to explore the changes and explain the implications for food businesses and the enforcement community.
