Guilty verdicts in Oxford sex abuse case

After nearly 20 hours of deliberation the jury today returned their final verdicts in the six week trial of Terence Sturgeon-Clegg, prosecuted by Oliver Saxby QC and Michael Roques.

In all, Mr Sturgeon-Clegg was convicted on 16 counts of historic sexual abuse and child cruelty dating back to the 1960s in respect of all but one of the seven complainants called.

Sentence has been adjourned to 16th January.
