Mukhtiar Singh successfully completes his first Planning Inquiry

Mukhtiar Singh appeared on behalf of the London Borough of Newham in relation to an appeal against a refusal by the local planning authority to grant a certificate of lawful use or development. The appeal involved three commercial units and one of the considerations for the Inspector was whether a single planning unit was identified by the Appellant.
The appeal was dismissed. Moreover, the Inspector accepted an application for costs, both on procedural and substantial grounds, and awarded costs of the appeal proceedings to the Council.
