Police pay compensation to Lord Bramall after false child abuse allegations

Richard Barraclough QC has advised and represented Lord Bramall in his claim for damages against the Metropolitan Police for conspiracy, misfeasance in a public office, trespass and defamation following the collapse of Operation Midland.
Lord Bramall has been unconditionally vindicated following the inquiry by Sir Richard Henriques. The claim for damages reflected damage to his reputation, injury to feelings and distress. He claimed aggravated and punitive damages. The Metropolitan Police Service has agreed to pay Lord Bramall substantial damages and costs.
