Anne Williams represents local authority at inquiry into plans to convert a footpath into a cycle track

March 27, 2018

Anne Williams has successfully appeared on behalf of the London Borough of Waltham Forest at an inquiry into the local authority’s plans for the conversion of a public footpath to a cycle track. The local authority had made a Draft Order under the Cycle Track Act 1984 in order to implement the changes. However, following numerous objections, an inquiry was called to investigate the issues.

The Inspector Mr Martin Whitehead recommended that the Order be confirmed. The Secretary of State has issued his decision confirming the Order. The Inspector and the Secretary of State supported the aims of the LBWF “Mini-Holland” scheme and applied the London Cycling Design Standards guidance.
