Confiscation: Preparation & Presentation in the Crown Court

At a recent seminar to lawyers at Burton Copeland in Manchester, Ian Whitehurst provided an encompassing review of POCA preparation and presentation in the Crown Court and a review of recent decisions in the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.

The topics covered included:

to prepare effectively the defence response to the proceedings
to address issues of disclosure in confiscation proceedings
to develop approach/strategy to challenge collateral applications eg. financial reporting orders
