July 21, 2014

The trial of the three men accused of murdering pensioner Harjit Chaggar gets under way today with Oliver Saxby QC and Danny Moore, instructed by Vymans Solicitors, representing the defendant Murshed Miah.

Mrs Chaggar’s badly beaten body was found hidden beneath a trap door in the shop where the three defendants worked some 12 days after she went missing. A fourth defendant faces charges of preventing a lawful burial. All four deny the allegations.

The trial is expected to take some 6 weeks.
