Oliver Saxby QC secures Jerome Parkinson’s acquittal of murder

The jury in the case of Parkinson and others returned their verdicts on Thursday. The Crown alleged that Parkinson and two of his co-accused had travelled down to Boscombe armed with a sawn-off shotgun in order to kill a young man called Reece Menzies, this at the instigation of the fourth co-accused. All four defendants were acquitted of murder and convicted of manslaughter (by a majority of 10/2).

Sentence is to take place on Friday 7th June.
