Six Pump Court presents a series of four environmental seminars

Members of the Environmental Team at Six Pump Court will be presenting a series of four seminars covering environmental law and regulation. The topics will include the environmental regulatory regime of the UK and the EU, regulatory notice challenges, contamination claims, waste issues and planning issues deriving from EU environmental directives.

The sessions will take place from September to December, with one seminar being held  each month between 4pm and 6pm

The topics for each seminar are outlined below.

10th September 2015: Challenges to Regulatory Notices (under the Environmental Permitting Regulations, Water Resources Act, Environmental Protection Act, etc): review or statutory appeal, and substantive principles?

14th October 2015: UKELA Waste Working Group seminar – topical issues in criminal enforcement by the regulators

4th November 2015: Liability and Remedies in Contamination Claims (land and water): maximising your client’s recovery. This seminar includes case studies and a contribution from Philip Wilbourn FRICS

9th December 2015: Practical Planning Issues Deriving from EU Directives (EIA, SEA and Habitats): recurring questions, the role of EU law, the HRA and the Charter of Fundamental Rights

A charge of £25.00 will be made for each session. Further details and speakers will be confirmed for each seminar nearer the time.
