Where to arbitrate? A fireside chat

The importance or arbitration is increasingly growing as it is now also a key method of dispute resolution for cross-border disputes. Meanwhile various jurisdictions globally are also developing their local capabilities and shaping themselves as a hub for the conduct of arbitration. Is there a competition for some jurisdictions to become a key regional arbitration hub? Or is it a matter of ‘party autonomy’ for arbitrants to choose an appropriate seat or venue for the conduct of their arbitration?
